Karate Guy

I was watching this guy do karate in front of city hall in San Francisco when I was waiting for the bus. Watching him really inspired me to just be myself. Thanks dude.

Summer at Green Gulch Zen Garden

The sun hardly comes out in the this neck of the woods but when it does it is blatantly magical.

pictures, pictures, pictures!

I've been taking pictures. There was a phase I was in for a long time where I refused to take pictures, I just wanted to remember things as they were but I have a bad memory! So, that phase is now over.

Turfin in the Town

Oh how I wish I lived in Oakland. Someone told me about turfin this weekend and they thought I was pretty dumb for not knowing anything about it. Well when you live in marin you become dumb about a lot of things. Anyway turfin is a kind of dance that was started in East Oakland. I watched this video and was amazed. I love it.

Happy Birthday!

This year I had 4 birthday parties. Usually I resist having one but I was really into celebrating this year. For celebration #1 I went to see the Grouch at the Shattuck Downlow. I had a great time. Celebration #2 was a party for my family at my mom's apartment in Alameda. Celebration #3 was a party held for me and Sam (my co-worker) in the garden and party #4 was at the Pelican Inn with friends from Green Gulch. Well I'm 28 now and I'm happy about it.
